How do you make a 4.7 volt transformer into a 12 volt one?

I want to make a 4.7 volt wall transformer into a twelve volt 2 amp wall transformer. Is there some way I can do this?

Not really. You'll have to find another transformer (or, if you're feeling adventurous, make one). The problem is, you'll have to change the ratio of turn on one or both sides of the transformer. That's not something that's easy to do, and you'll have to end up uncurling all that magnet wire and wrapping it all over again. Transformers are easy to find, it's better to just find one that suits your needs.

.If you eventually want to produce DC with the transformer you can voltage double or treble to 4.7 Volt output quite easily, using a few diodes and capacitors, then regulate to 12Volts. If you’re not sure how, I’ll give you the schematic if you are interested

Thanks, but I found amps is what matters in my project, not voltage.

You can't. Get a different transformer.
