How much is a 1990 cannondale ST600 (touring bike) worth?

This bike is in great condition with all of the original parts as I can tell and I want to know whats the most amount of money I can get from it.

Sorry, for some reason the writing came out all bunched up.....

Dear Yankeee7,

I find that the best way to price used items is to look on ebay, but there are none on there at the moment.

I was looking at these bikes recently and the prices varied wildly:
$150 http://www.americanlisted.com/delaware_8/bicycles_7/cannondale_st600_150_nw_denver_10054034.html

$300

$550 for this 1987 model http://www.americanlisted.com/delaware_8/bicycles_7/cannondale_st600_150_nw_denver_10054034.html

Considering that the bike is twenty years old with obsolete parts that are hard to find , I personally would be drawn to the low end of that scale $150 / $250 ... but that is just an opinion and there may be people out there who love these bikes and are willing to pay more.

Why not contact some of the sellers above and ask them if they actually got the price that they were asking?

Kind Regards

FOH

No, I have no idea what they were thinking.
Thank you.

There's a discussion about this bike here:

Somewhere between $5 and %10,000.

Depends on who you're talking to, where you are and what condition the bike is in.

You need to find some comparables in you location to find the value.
+1. If you want to know what it might go for in your area, try asking a local bike store that deals in used bikes what they'd sell it for. They may want to charge for this service.

Of course what they would sell it for will be significantly higher than what they would pay for it. They need to make a profit on the deal, after all.

It's not old enough to be interesting for its age; it is old enough for folks to be a bit concerned about wear and hidden rust and things like that. I probably wouldn't pay more than half of what it would cost to buy an equivalent bike new, but that's me.
