How much volt can a regular LED have?

Does it depend according to the LED or is it a general amount ? ty.

Red, yellow and amber LEDs usually require 2-2.4V. Green requires 2.4-2.8. Blue and white require 3.4-3.8V. These are typical values for 3mm and 5mm through-hole varieties; surface mount and high power versions will differ.

It depends on the LED. The most common through-hole LED's are 3.3V and 5V. Be sure to put a resistor in series with a LED to prevent it from blowing due to overcurrent.
