A not-quite-trivial Google search (you have to know the right engineering terms) can lead you to the answer. I searched for "plexiglas mechanical properties" (correct spelling is important), which led me to the manufacturer's Web site.

There, I followed the "Technical Data" link and got to a PDF file with everything you need. Page 5 has all the mechanical stuff.

I have no idea what any of that means on the pdf but thanks.
. Well done, Herr Googlemeister.
Danke!

Wouldn't it of been better to give us a rough idea what you need accomplished so we can just tell you what thickness you should use?
That would be too easy.
The pdf, and website link no longer work
Check with Tap Plastics - www.tapplastics.com I think. I found this, which is one type of acrylic and may be different from what you're using. The weight support would be dependent on the thickness, of course, but they have a lot of different types and will know if you check with them.
