How to generate 100,000 volts?

For a special project I need to generate 100,000v to turn hydrogen into plasma.  Can anyone tell me how to do that?

A small Van de Graaf generator can easily exceed that, but can't deliver any significant amount of current for any significant length of time.

You're an amateur, passing high voltages through explosive gases...

make sure you post your instructable before you actually switch it on...
....and a movie, when you do....
Yes. A movie would be good...

Right now im just putting it on paper. Ive looked at all the ibles on high voltage but thanks anyway for your answers keep rolling them in.

I suspect that you don't (really know what you're doing), but look at the high voltage projects on this site:
E.g. Plasmana

Whimhurst machine - Google it there are lots of plans. Again a static generator so current levels will be low. Any way to deliver 100,000 volts at a significant current would be way beyond deadly. About the only real way would be a Tesla machine that I guess if you didn't know that is beyond your ability to make safely.
