How to make Minecraft transparent glass?

Recently I've been making some textures for a Minecraft resource pack of mine, but I have a problem. Whenever I try to make a glass texture, It always ends up white in-game. I tried to make it clear with the Transperency option, but it still didn't work. Can anyone show me how to make a glass texture that is clear? I am using Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition.

Yea getting winRar is a good idea it can be very useful, So if you use winRar just open %appdata%, then .minecraft, then bin, then minecraft.jar, then textures, and finally blocks and glass.png with a program that handles transparency. Paint will not work for this so I recommend Gimp its free and easy to use. Or you could just get a texture pack.

If my grand kids can make teleport  gates in minecraft .
I would bet the producers of the game have a method to create transparent glass blocks.

Hmm, I don't know. I wouldn't really want to download some .rar or .zip opening program like WinRAR just to open the texture folder. I probably could find a .png of the original online. Do you make textures? If so, what do you do in making glass textures?
Winrar is free. It says you only have 30 days to try it out, however after the 30 days it continues to work but opens a message saying that the 30 days are over every time you use it. I don't make texture packs for minecraft and I have never tried to make glass in one. But you can simply try it.

Do you just never open or make compressed files? What about when you're done with the pack? You'll need to compress it if you're planning on distributing it. Just download WinRAR or 7zip. They're free, or at least 7zip is, and it will make your life easier. It will also allow you easily grab the default texture.

LMGTFY: From what I've read translucently is a property of the block not the texture. Also I don't know that program but you need to be using one that has true transparency. Not sure if a photo editing program will have it. Something like photoshop, paint.NET, GIMP, or Pixlr will for sure.
