How to make a hole on seashell without drill?

I always did it by dipping the shell in water (so the shell does not get to hot because of the friction) and then drilling very slowly with a glass drill through the shell.

Any sharp piece of steel, glass, or rock can carve or boar a hole in a seashell.

A sharp knife point will drill sea shells.

you can rub it through with a bow drill, wet sand, and a lot of patience

Without a drill you won't ;)
I prefer glass drills as they self center and can be used quite easy by hand on such delicate things.
Some people tap them with a thin and really hard steel needle to make holes but my aim was never good enough to get perfectly shaped holes this way - that's why I still use drills ;)
