How to make a inverter and battery of our own?

I want to make inverter and battery at home.If we make at home whether its cost will reduce when comparing with outer outlets.Please tell me in brief if possible.

While batteries are difficult to make; you can purchase 'inverter kits' at electronics shops (I am guessing that you are from India)!

just make the battery high enough voltage to power the devices you need.

After all the electronics converts all AC to some DC in a TV or radio even
lights take AC to DC to HF AC.

NOW You can just start at the DC step.
