How to make a laptop LCD monitor connect to another computer as a normal monitor (physically)?
I want to create an overhead LCD monitor projector (from instructables on here). I do not have an LCD monitor to take apart. However, I do have an old laptop monitor that works and would like to use the screen on that. My problem is, once I take it apart, the cable that connects the monitor will not be compatible with a standard video cable like a regular monitor would be. Is there any way that I could use this monitor as my overhead projector. Like, is there some sort of converter or thing I could attach to the cable to turn it into a standard monitor that I could connect to a computer's video card.
Thanks for any help,
I've looked around and haven't found anything.

If you are of the tinkering type, as I assume pretty much all of us are here, I would recommend looking into the link below for a driver/power kit, direct from japan...

It translates from japanese to english, and is close enough to get the idea of what is going on. I'd love to hear your results!
I am not associated with Aitendo at all.
If the laptop is functional, just get a USB video input and convert the entire laptop into a projector.
The control hardware is on the laptop mainboard, the laptop screen is just the LCD, it's not a plug & play monitor. These are integrated into the whole device and are not really practical to build into standardised monitors.

The reason you haven't found anything, is outside of the computer service industries, solutions don't really exist.
