How to send byte from Sensor Monkey to the arduino?

Yes, i am getting information that bytes are sent over the serial port to the arduino and that the connection is established.I am using arduino duemilanove board.For now i am testing only sending of signals from sensor monkey to the board.I just tried to type #FF and
to click Send Text but nothing happend except that  i get the info that the byte is sent to the board.
When i try to transfer data from arduino to the sensor monkey, for example signal from potentiometer, i succed.
