I HAVE A CANON 50D SLR CAMERA.WANT TO USE MY CAMERA TO CATCH THE MOVEMENT OF WILD LIFE OBJECT AUTOMATICALLY TRACK MOTION

i am a wild life photographer.i want to trigger my digital slr camera(canon 50d) through pir motion sensor.when any subject will move within the range my camera will sense the motion and take the photo automaticaly.but how will it be possible?how will i attach the pir sensor with my camera?please help.give me the total detail to make this in my home.with this sensor can i controll external flash from my camera?

There's an alternative firmware for Canon cameras which IIRC has motion detection/capture built in. All you need is a battery pack for the camera.

I think CHDK also had a script for that.

Motion capture on the camera. No microcontroller needed, just put Magic Lantern on your SD card, and you're good to go.

You'll need to use a micro controller between the sensor and camera. This way the micro controller reads the sensor and triggers the camera's remote shudder. You can find many instructables on how to build a remote for your camera's shudder. You can also find many motion sensor projects. All you need is to activate a relay that will trigger the camera shudder.
