I HAVE A VIRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK i start google chrome on my Ubuntu operating system and It says: Whoa! google chrome Has crashed Relaunch now? That is not normal if it had really crashed it would say something like: Google Chrome Has encountered an error and needs to close sorry for any inconvenience. How can i Delete this VIRUS? In addition to that, This window Pops-up about 200 Times and there all dancing on your screen. (VERY ANNOYING)

Run your anti-virus and scan and remove any infections. If you don't have an anti-virus, you can get a free scan HERE:

I believe Norton and Symantec also offer free scans.
If you need a free anti-virus, Avast is a good one and there are others available as well.
Open Google and start searching.

That IS a standard Google Chrome message. The reason you are getting this may be hard to determine. First thing I'd do is restart your computer. Then reinstall chrome. Then see what happens.

He said its Ubuntu. That severally decreases the number of anti-virus programs avalible. I believe there is a free one that comes with Ubuntu, or if it isn't pre-installed, it's easy to find in the software center. The name escapes me at the moment.

But I don't think it's a virus. That is a standard message. Try reinstalling the program and see if that fixes it.

a linux virus?,very suspect on that one, check Synaptic and see if there is an updated PPA for chrome available.In all honesty as good as Ubuntu is sometimes programs written for Linux dont always work 100% all the time,it might be a Kernal issue has it been updated recently from the update manager?.Your best bet if all else fails go to the Ubuntu forums.
