I have a Satelite Dish left on the roof from a previous owner. What can I do or make with it?

I have a Satelite Dish left on the roof from a previous owner. What can I do or make with it? Can I use it for digital TV? Can I use it for digital radio? FM radio? What about the salelite dish reciever boxes
that came with them as I see them all the time in the thrift store, is there a cool hack that is legal?

Thanks.

FreeSat! If you have a HDTV you can buy a freesat box for a one off payment (not like the sky rip off) You will be able to get freeview plus other channels and also get a few HD channels! More HD channels are on their way for the future though. I used to have sky and I am hoping to get one of the new Humax PVR freesat boxes around christmas time. The freesat PVR's can even record in HD! Or watch one channel while recording another. It's like sky+ HD without the subscription. If you want a freesat PVR then look out for "Freesat+" on the boxes. (The PVR I saw was around £200)

Rick Harris has my first idea - a solar death ray. Getting 'legit' satellite hookup works with most dishes across that company's setup should work - you would have to buy it or pirate it - which these days is often more trouble than it's worth.

A solar oven - the dish is a parabola so line it with small mirrors or very smooth foil shiny side out.
Try search (that little box on the top right ? ) "Satellite Dish", you'll be amazed....
