I have a bunch of LEDs I need help identifying?

Hey guys I just picked up a bunch of these 3x3 square package LEDs. They appear to be plastic square packages and the 3x3 grid of LEDs have been epoxied into the packages.

All I know this far is that 5 volts won't fry them, I know which ones are what colours, and I also know that the second set of leads on each LED puck is linked to the first set of leads so you can extend the pucks like a chain.

There is ABSOLUTELY no markings or numbers or even a company logo printed ANYWHERE on the LEDs, the only kind of lettering/numbers is the gauge and voltage capacity on the wires themselves (25AWG 300V) and that doesn't help me much. I've googled all the things I can think of trying to find a datasheet on them and I simply cannot find who makes these, yet I know I've seen them somewhere before! I want a datasheet, but at the very least, what the maximum voltage/current is I can feed into them!!

Oh yeah, and @ 5 volts its hard on the eyes to look at but the LEDs don't heat up even after the couple minutes I left it plugged in, I imagine they can take a bit more voltage? I was thinking of feeding 12V into one of the pucks but I don't wanna damage any of these pucks as they could be very useful for some projects I have in mind, or maybe just one hell of a flashlight!

Pictures provided, please someone tell me what these LEDs are about!!
