I have a few gallons of leftover ammonium hydroxide at work. What should I do with it? Would anyone want it?
I work at an engineering company and we use ammonium hydroxide for making blueprints. After a while we have to change out the bottles. I'm assuming the leftover bottles are not pure ammonium hydroxide anymore, but it is still very strong. We have about 8-10 jugs of it sitting around that we would like to get rid of.
I'm not sure if it could be useful to anyone. I'm also not sure how to properly dispose of it if nobody wants it.

It's aqueous ammonia? Oxidise it to nitrate with bacteria (a big pile of dung) L
Yes it is aqueous. I don't really have a need for that, but you gave me an idea. I'll call some fertilizer places and see if they want it.
It's not immediately good as fertiliser without the pH being adjusted by addition of acid. But you might be able to use it as a base for your own liquid fertiliser if you could add some phosphoric acid & a source of potassium? L
