I have a laser that i bought from radio shack and i wanted to hack it?

I saw a video on how to hack one by removing the button or front of the laser cap. I have not been able to remove the button or front cap of laser. If you know a better way to hack please tell.

Your pointer was to this rifle ? ?.

The little lasers I took apart required you to hold down the button and
press out the guts from the metal cylinder.
Heating it with a hair dryer to expand the metal tube may help.

Most diode lasers are putting out all they can and trying to increase the current will probably destroy the sensitive PN diode junction.

There is a probability that with all the annoying laws about laser power output and the improved manufacturing of laser components,
The people who put your laser together MAY have ARTIFICIALLY reduced the power output to meet the laws I spoke of.

That is the only thing I know which would let you hack more real power output.
BTW how are you going to measure the power increase ?

About your eyes, laser light reflecting off of iniquitous everyday objects in your purview can ruin your eye in a couple microseconds.
