I have the CCD sensor from an old Sony Handycam (Sony DCR-HC36), What can I do with it?

Can I somehow mod it so that I can use it with a telescope? (for lunar and planetary photos) I have attached an image of the sensor.

Well, technically you probably can, but you'll have to build some complex electronics to read it.

Without the support circuitry to capture the signals, (and charge the charge-couple device) it won't be capturing images of anything :(
