I need a way to use the plain editor on ibles, I am currently tied to using an android phone, no computer, any ideas?

Kinda confused. The plain editor works just fine from a Droid. (I use a Motorola Droid, fwiw) I just checked to make sure. It pops up when I selected "Answer It"
When you want to write an ible it doesn't allow the plain editor, though sky fire loads the rich editor you can't write in the box
ah...writing an ible. I misread "ibles" as meaning the site in general.

You're absolutely right. I just tried to reply via rich text using the droid and it loaded the plain editor instead. Or *a plain editor anyway. Maybe ckeditor (their js editor addon) doesn't jive with cell phones or uses flash in some way. I'm guessing you need to direct it to bugs.

Instructables isnt mobile orientated anyway, what OS is your droid on? Im still waiting on 2.1 as sony ericsson are slow on updates, may skip to froyo if someones got the root patch going for the x10 Im going to test a few browsers then maybe have a look at some work around, hve yet to try a bunch to test
Maybe not. It seems to be a little, although not like some sites are. I'm running 2.1. It came installed and I haven't done any rooting yet. Waiting impatiently for 2.2 (Froyo). I'll have to look up x10. Not familiar. fwiw, I believe Froyo is already out in Europe, at least according to several posts at Droidforums.. .
I am assuming then, that you can not access the "source" option? From there, you should be able to eliminate formatting, but if it still doesn't allow you to type in the editor box.....you'd have to have it "set that condition" at load time.
Cheers, source works, need to work out normal styles though but got step making to work too
I'll try skyfire for that since it'll load the editor but there's another issue since inserting and saving steps seems to be impossible...
