I tried installing Star Wars Dark Forces II on Vista, but it's not working, help?

I got the sudden urge to play Star Wars Dark Forces II. So I tried installing it. I put the disc in. Ran the program. And when I click install, the program goes unresponsive. Is it because it's incompatible since it was originally made for Windows 95? Or what?

Please help,

I dug around a bit and the most useful looking page I could find was this:

Thanks for the help. If I knew how to do the stuff on the link you gave me, I'm definitely sure it would fix it.
Well have a go then. I played Dark Forces once, it was just a bit uncomfortable, but mostly fun. I liked the "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" when you fell off a cliff noise. And blasting mouse-droids, Well blasting most things actually...

Haha me too. That's part of the reason I want to play it again.

Yep.  I doubt that many programs that were written for '95 will work on Vista.  You could try  running it in 'compatibility mode'.  I think vista has that, XP did, but I only have one computer running Vista and I don't play old games on it.
also right-click and run as an administrator
It's a driver issue, system-privileges are unlikely to affect it.

Yeah, I think you're right. I tried compatibility mode but it did not work. Anything else I can do? Can I update the drivers?

I can't. It won't let me.

It does. I tried it on all of the versions of Windows. 95, ME, NT, 2000, XP, none of them worked. The program still goes unresponsive right after I hit the Install button.
