I want to rewire a refrigerator light for a project. Can I turn this into a wall socket? ?

For a regular light I know this is possible. Maybe it's better to take it apart and wire it? What are the things I should know before attempting this?

Most refrigerator lights i've seen use regular incandescent bulbs in them. If the refrigerator is question is using a different socket then check the voltage to make sure its using main line voltage. But upgrading the socket to a larger one and trying to use a larger bulb in it could be a problem since the internal wiring of the fridge isn't rated for anything larger then what the current socket and bulb are rated for.
