I'm interested in making a homebrew radar (speed) gun. What are the chances of making this work?

It seems like I could do this using two webcams. Has anyone tried this, or do you have any ideas besides the 2 webcams?

Check out www.RaserAbwehr.de, the software allows to measure vehicle speed with a webcam. It is pretty accurate +/- 3%, if your webcam has 30 frames per second

TOF using webcams eh? maybe kinda slow...(standard cam has 1/30 sec per frame)...correlation between two cams might also screw the measurement. How about using TOF and ultrasonics or IR using a single sensor? Uncertainties are certainly lower and speed of operation might improve idk..."guessing" here.
