In what way is a 60-key keyboard different from an 88-key keyboard? (read description)

Do they just take off 9 keys from the far right & left edges? What, then, is the point of doing that?

about 28 keys.

. The missing key are usually replaced by using some form of combination
I was in the pet store with Caitlin and overheard someone asking the clerk "What's the difference between the 10 gallon fish tank and the 20 gallon tank?" I had to blurt out "10 gallons!"
. I guess I should pay more attention to which forum msgs are posted in. ;)

Are you talking about a piano or electronic keyboard like an organ or synthesizer? 61 keys is a normal 5-octave keyboard. The full range one is 88 keys. Electronic keyboards usually have a switch or control to change the octave settings of the keys you hit to get the extended range up or down.
