Is it possible to make a 9v adapter, or any adapter for that matter, wireless?

As in not needing to plug it into a wall.

Yes. I do something similar for a breadboard power supply. Get a 12v nicad battery pack like they put in RC cars. These things can store lots of charge and can draw pretty high current. Hook up a voltage regulator to keep it regulated at 9v, and add in a cord with the correct barrel jack to plug into whatever you're powering. You may be able to just use a 9v battery, but depending on the device you're powering, it may drain the battery too quickly. The battery packs with a regulator will last a lot longer, can be recharged, but are larger.

Should just be a matter of finding a spot to wire in a 9v battery connector
