Is it possible to make an A/V input on a portable DVD player that doesn't have one?

Generally, no. The DVD player is essentially a small specialized computer. To get other video onto its screen would involve fairly serious hardware and software hackery. Not worth the effort; get yourself a cheap laptop.

What for?
All the player does is output A/V. You want to play something on it that you can't at the moment?

Yes, I would like to make a portable t/v.

You need a TV receiver, the sort of thing you can easily get for computers.
If your player has the right inputs you'll have an easy job.
