Is "screw eye" the correct terminology to describe the object below?

My dad doesn't seem to think so, but I have hear many others refer to this little bit of hardware as a "screw eye". I also use this term. I was wondering, is this the correct term, or is there a more adequate one? I figured I'd ask the Instructables community because there is an immense variety of makers, carpenters, engineers, constructors, destructors etc. that have a great deal of collective knowledge in such fields, which I am only just beginning to gain experience myself.

Yes.  Perfect.  Some will call it an "eye screw" or a "screw hook" but that's not what's usually on the package.
