Is there a way to get music from the ipod to itunes using only itunes..? I don't care if it asks for a password.?

If all your songs were purchased from iTunes store, yes. Simply use "Transfer Purchases" option. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329

If some of your songs were from other sources, you will need to utilize some iPod transfer program to help you. Tansee iPod Transfer is what I used. It ensures proven easy and safe transfer. More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your iPod.
