Laser Wattage?

What's the minimum wattage of the laser, to have a somehow professional laser cutter? (that's able to cut plywood, etch metal and acrylic, etc)

It depends on the thickness of the plywood. There are desktop laser cutters as low as 500mW that can etch and cut paper, but for 3mm plywood, you'll need at least 50W as far as I know. Epilog has some good low-end professional models.

Epilog's (great quality machines) 40 watt will cut 3mm ply. Plywood is actually tougher to cut through then then the same thickness of solid wood because of the glue between plys.
