Locked out of Vista laptop

Sony Vaio running Windows Vista Home.

I bought a mac and didnt use the Sony for almost a year. Tried to log on and password is not accepted.
This is the ADMIN user account.
There are no other users.
Please help.
I own it, It's not stolen.

Had a similar problem a while ago... if you have access to a different computer Google Search Linux Boot Disk
Download and create said Linux Boot Disk
Place in CD tray and start computer
Follow instructions
Reset password
Enjoy Computer!

Google "OPH Password Cracker" It is a really good password cracking program.

If that does not work then you will have to try to get sony to cough up a set of restore disks for you.

If all else fails you could reload your computer with Ubuntu Linux it I a free operating system that puts windows to shame.

Sony doesn't come with DVDs, you have to make a set and I never did.
You can order a set of recovery disks from Sony.

If you bought it, then it came with an install DVD. Boot from that and you will be able to reinstall, reset passwords, etc.
