Making a Flip video camera into a video player...?

Ok, I was looking at this camera I just got (Flip Video Ultra) and I thought, "Gee, I wonder if I can play videos from my computer on it?" I got a converter (Mpeg Streamclip) and got it to convert to a .AVI file. It worked (after a quick name change... Who woulda thunk changing the name to VID0000# would work?)! Sort of...

A few problems:
1. video quality is iffy. It looks all... I don't know the term, but I'm going with random colors.
2. no sound

Any suggestions?

(P.S. There is some footage I took with my other Flip camera. I'll post it in a bit...)

Here is the "stream info" of footage I took using the camera. It could help:

Path: /Volumes/FLIPVIDEO/DCIM/100VIDEO/VID00001.AVIDuration: 0:00:20Data Size: 6.63 MBBit Rate: 2.65 MbpsVideo Tracks:Generic MPEG-4, 640x480, 30 fps, 2.59 MbpsAudio Tracks:MS ADPCM mono, 16 kHz, 64 kbpsStream Files:VID00001.AVI (6.63 MB)

The internal player on the camera will likely only be able to play back files encoded in the same codec as the camera itself creates - and at similar bitrates - such that the camera displays them properly. It's in the wrong codec if you get random-coloured pictures.

Hmmm... I think I got a similar codec as to what the camera plays. Actually, the video playing works quite well. Its the audio I'm not able to get to work, really.
You need to recode your mpeg with those audio settings - ms adpcm mono 16khz - and you'll lose a LOT of quality doing that.

Meh, no kidding about the low quality... Can you suggest any free software that can do this? I've been using Handbreak and MPEG Streamclip.
handbrake is one of the best... its not the codec or program - 64kbps is gonna just...suck.

No kidding. Thanks though! I should have thought of using Handbreak in the first place.

Handbreak-its not just for ripping off DVDs anymore!

Also, this "stream info" is what the camera records in:
