It looks like you're having a problem with your video card. It could be overheating, or the fan isn't running well, or there's a lot of dust... It's kind of hard to say from a screenshot.

If you have a tower (versus a laptop), then open the cover, and use a can of compressed air to clean the fans. Check if your video card has its own fan and clean it with the air can if it does.

If you watch a lot of videos, play a lot of games or otherwise 'over use' the video card, then it may be time to consider getting an upgrade if the one you have is a factory original. The problem is going to get worse.

thats all right i figuered out the problem. it was that someone change the contrast thing so i changed it back to windows basic . Thanks anyway
No problem... I would still keep an eye on your video card and the temperature, especially if it happens again. (It's a fairly common symptom for a video card issue).

I read your update, and unfortunately, I still think the problem is with your video card.

If you have an OpenGL 2.0 compliant card, then you can download and use FurMark and run a stress test. (It's free). That way you'll know for sure if that's the problem or not. (If you're unable to use it, you'll have to provide more information about your hardware).

Here's some additional info for you to look at. (It's a little old), but it shows several images that demonstrate video/graphics card problems, and discusses them in more detail.

Let me know what happens.

do you know how long its supposed to take. and the test screen looks like the others even though i just downloaded it.
The FurMark stability test runs as long as you want it to... The goal is to start it and then to use your computer like you normally would; play games, watch videos, do whatever you normally do. As FurMark is running, its able to analyze what's going on. I would recommend that you run the test and use your computer normally for at least 30 minutes (to get a good idea of what's going on). If you simply sit on the FurMark screen and do nothing, then you really aren't getting the benefits (or the results) you need from the test.

Thanks ill be sure to do this soon
windows basic just doesn't use the 3d acceleration settings; so the card is less stressed - as canuck says it needs better cooling. That's an overheating chip symptom.

What happens if you change the display settings?
