On the breadboard Arduino, what's the difference between that and the duemilanove?

What exactly is the difference between making the breadboard version found on arduinofun in thier kit, and the duemilanove? Besides the usb part?

the biggest difference is form factor. there might be some differences in pinouts and number of i/o pins.

But those extra pins and i/o pins can be added right? I have a ton of arduino based projects I would like to do, but I was wanting to save some money (we're talking like 10-15 boards). I love soldering, so I figured I'd do it myself. Just didn't want to have compatability issues with some of the projects here.

you wont have compatibility issues. as long as you use the arduino ide, youll be fine.

im 95% sure that the chips are the same, so it should, most likely, have the same number of io pins

Its the same pin out and i/o. Uses an ATmega chip with the Arduino bootloader on it. The breadboard method is just more DIY. I use this method at school a lot of times. We have tons of parts in the labs so I just put them together and start working on ideas. It really just boils down to what you prefer.
