PLEASE HELP with Arduino! I have more info?
I have the Arduino Duemilanove and i got it today.
I have two problems, one, i have a mac, i have the software for the mac and arduino, but the program says it cant find a com port, how can i select USB?
two, i cant figure out how to turn on a simple LED. can anyone please help me!?! i would appreciate it! the arduino website cannot help me for some reason!!!

When you plug in the Arduino it installs a driver that (temporarily) converts your USB port into a Serial data communication (COM) port. this is because Arduino can't really speak USB, but it speaks Serial really well.
I don't have my Mac in front of me to test, but it should be simple enough to just select different com ports until you find the one that the USB is plugged into.
As for the second part: If you weren't able to select the right com port then you haven't been able to upload a sketch at all. Once you have the right com port set, then you can program the thing.
A really good place to ask Arduino questions is on the Official Arduino web site: http://www.arduino.cc/ Have you gone though all of these steps?
