PPowering 12 volt car radio with solar panel?

My friend has a bass boat that he wants to put a car radio into. However, the boat motor has no alternator or dynamo to charge the batteries. Is there a solar panel available that would keep the radio and two 6.5 inch speakers going on his boating trips. He is usually out 3-4 hours at most.

Best fishing occurs on cloudy days in mornings and evenings..

Does he start his "boat motor" with a push button ?

Car radios use a great deal of power compared to radios that have a built in solar panel and or maybe windup mechanism..

The audio speakers will penetrate sound into water as does a slapping fish line.. -.-. . -. --.

Then there is already a 12v battery somewhere in the boat too run the starter motor which the boat Internal Combustion motor recharges while motoring..

Still car radios suck power.. Try to find a portable radio with good antenna because radio reception at the lowest point in the area is not RF worthy..

And keep a weather eye out for distant lightning dark clouds.. -.-. . -. --.

When you find that starter battery the ignition noise may need to be filtered out using a pi filter C-L-C or a corcom between battery and radio see a boat shop for noise filters.. -.-. . -. --.
