Schematic of an EMP?

I am making an emp but I broke the Disposable camera's chip. So decided to make my own circuit, but it doesn't work.
I am attaching my schematic.
I know I am missing something, so please can anyone tell what it is? or just direct me to a simple schimatic?
I have transistor... transformer and everything form the chip. I just don't know how to connect them.

You would need a high voltage converter to give your battery a topup. an try getting 315, 350v capacitors. use a spark gap button. (Like a push button)

And if using more than 1 capacitor link them in series.. this way the voltage doubles and current remains the same

seem to be a few out there Hard to know if they work or not though.

Google really is your friend here.

What if using this circuit to elevate the tension from 12V to 380V :

http://pt.aliexpress.com/item/DC-AC-Converter-12V-...

then isolate the circuit board with an aluminum box in order to not be affected by the pulse , and then instead using a 160uf capacitor , use instead a 400V capacitor with 480uf .

The converter will put the output in AC , but to convert to DC all is needed is a rectifier diode bridge .

This circuit can handle 500W .

Basically an EMP is a short circuit in high voltage over a copper coil .

This is just an idea witch i have no idea if it will work .

I also think that using an AC capacitor will do the job .

Raising voltage reduces current proportionally - You can't get something for nothing.

IF you were to want tp produce a real EM Pulse your going to need a LOT of volts AND current to sustain it. No such thing as an AC capacitor - AC passes through capacitors.

By all means experiment, Taking suitable precautions to avoid electrocuting yourself or others but don't hold your breath on any real results.

You also shouldn't beleive everything you see on the Internet.

to increase the discharge current on the copper coil , all is needed is capacitors with more capacity , instead 160 micro-farads , using one with 1000 micro-farads , but the problem is if the power source can handle with the charging of the capacitor .

I saw some people on the web using capacitors connected in parallel to increase the current on discharge , witch by the way will increase the EMP discharge .

Basically i am just curious about this because i never try something on this subject , i have a professional formation in digital electronics but i never went to this direction of projects .

Probably in future i will try something to test in the middle of nowhere so no one be affected by some secondary effects of a discharge .

Here is a driver,

But more important why are you into viruses and destruction ?

If gov people find out about your profile you could be incarcerated as a future danger to society.

Leaving that aside, EMP was coined as the Electro Magnetic Pulse created by an atomic blast, do you seriously believe three AAA batteries are the same power level as a nuclear reaction ?

Go to school and learn to be an electronic technician contribute to life.

Then maybe you could decide which of these plans is a spoof.

AHHH.. YOU WERE RIGHT FBI ! FBI ! FBI !.... ( It's okay I am from India)

I am making this as my first DIY project and have no intentions of doing nuclear level damage with AAA batteries(although that would be cool). And school is of no help, they only teach about capacitors and inductors at most with no practical experience.

anyways thanks... I will try to figure it out with the info i can get from internet :)

OK, here is a hint on discharging a capacitor into a coil to make a low level fast magnetic pulse. Using a push button is a poor choice because it bounces and slows the energy transfer from capacitor to coil.

A mercury silent light switch has no bounce and even better a thyristor SCR Silicon Controlled Rectifier is what you want to use.

This page,

http://www.talkingelectronics.com/projects/XenonFl...

has a number of capacitor charging circuits, discovered from disposable cameras found in the wild. Plus it includes some explanations of how these circuits work.

The transformer in a flash camera is a step up transformer it needs an oscillator and a diode to charge the capacitor.

That Instructable only puts out a single pulse so unless you want to be pushing the all day it wont charge the capacitor.

ANYONE??

As you want it simple, cheap and with low power anyway: get a disposable camera with flash ;)

You need a step up transformer with a flyback driver circuit to charge the capacitor. Otherwise you are just charging the capacitor to the voltage of the batteries.

I can't believe that I didn't realise that I was just charging the capacitor to potential difference across the batteries.

how do i make transformer with a flyback driver circuit?

Google flyback driver circuits or power inverter circuits and you and you will get thousands of circuits. pick the simplest circuit like this one.

You have a 230V battery ?

no just 3 AA batteries.
