Skype and let people see me and desktop at same time

I want to  find a solutoin that lets other people view my desktop as part of Skype - if you're editing a paper, having the other co-authors being able to see the paper. I want the whole desktop on skype as well as me with sound, I have hypercam

a) use something like google documents. It's like multiplayer notepad where multiple users can edit/view etc at the same time
http://docs.google.com -- free and uses your google account.
benefit - digital, rendered locally so its live and great quality

b) in skype while in a video call change it to 'share (a portion of) your screen' -- and your skype output video will be your screen.
dependent on bandwidth and may lag if you're scrolling, etc.
