Small beeping device activated by a button?

I don't want it to be too loud, just at  audible levels with a quick beep.
Preferably not larger than 1.5 inches.

Thank you geniuses.

What about astable multivibrators? You don't need a lot of parts to build it.

You should have been more specific? You just want a buzzer and a switch? That is trivial to make from three parts -- a piezoelectric speaker, a momentary contact switch, and a battery.

Like a 9-volt battery, a mini-tone transducer speaker and some kind of button to make the connection right? You think radioshack all these?
If you're in the States, RS is your simplest source, provided you already know what you want. If you happen to have a real electronics store in your town, go there instead. The RS drones couldn't sell you a battery to save their lives :-(

I pulled a small "transducer" out of a studfinder but when I wire it directly to a battery is barely makes any sound compared to when in the studfinder. What could I be missing?
The Annoy-a-tron!
(Sorry, but it's 2.5" x 1.25" x.3") http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/exclusives/8c52/
This does random beeps. I need the beeps to occur only right after a button press. Thanks.
Then I'd have to go with kelseymh's answer.

There was one in MAKE Magazine, Vol 14. A trivial Google search for "annoying beeping device" will get you both things to buy or to make yourself.

It should not be annoying. Wish it was trivial, I'm not that advanced to build something from scratch from a lot of parts. Thanks.
