Stepper Motor and an L298 Module?

Hello,
I bought those items: L298 Module Kit, PIC16F877A + KIT, a stepper motor my friend found in an old printer (with four wires (2 coils)), and the pic programmer. I am lost trying to find out how to wire this thing. Can someone tell me how to connect the L298 Module with the Pic kit and the basics of how to program it (not code just the concept). I already connected the stepper motor to the coil pins of the module.
Thanks

1E and 2E on the module are the current sense A and B in the tutorial.
1EN and 2EN are enable A and Enable B.
1A1, 1A2, 2A1 and 2A2 are the inputs 1, 2, 3 and 4.
1Y1, 1Y2, 2Y1 and 2Y2 are the outputs  1, 2, 3 and 4.
Vcc1 is logic supply yvoltage.
Vcc2 is motor supply voltage.
Gnd is . . .   Gnd!

That tutorial appeared to have the best overview of the function of all the bits and how they come together to drive the motor.
