Hi, I am Hayati, from Malaysia. We have hot climate currently. I've try to store the bread in air tight container and in zip-lock plastic bag. The life-time of the bread is aorung 2-3 days. Is it normal?

Is there any storage method that can prolong the life time of the bread?

You can try slicing the bread, and then putting all the slices in the freezer, and just defrost what you need as you go.

I imagine it is humid where you are too, which is why there is a short shelf life for the bread (I can usually get a loaf to last a week in an air tight container.

Hi and welcome to the world of FRESH bread. Besides storing it sliced in the freezer, you could add a small amount of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) or you could add what is called dough enhancer. I know some of the bread purest will say this is cheating.

It improves
the rise, texture, taste and crust of the bread. It makes a “lighter”
bread and EXTENDS SHELF LIFE, as it (the ingredients) act as NATURAL preservatives. You can find plenty of recipes on the internet to make your own, of course you can always buy it pre-made also.
