Sub for browned butter?

I have multiple allergies. Since I can't use the browned butter, I had thought to use coconut oil. (Soy is out as well, so no Crisco.) Do you have any suggestions for that great taste from browning?

To get the same nutty flavor that browned butter brings to a recipe I would suggest using straight (not browned) olive oil instead. You can certainly try coconut oil if you enjoy the coconutty flavor that the oil will bring!
