Be brave! I would suggest Beeswax, though. Save the earwax for nibbling

If you're asking about the "solid perfume" instructable, I'd suggest asking in its comments section rather than here. (Though re-reading it might answer the question.)

I recently found out that lip balm sticks are made out of squaline -- which makes sense; that's the same oil that facial skin normally secretes.
