Using a desktop power supply to power a flyback transformer for a Jacob's ladder

The title says it all. Is doing such a thing possible? The power supply would act as a 'barrier' of sorts between the wall power and the power of the circuit. The flyback transformer from an old tv would increase the voltage after it has been decreased by the computer power supply for the actual Jacob's Ladder.

Yes it should work fine.
Check instructables on the power supplies some need a resistor.

I've done it.
Anything I should be aware of?
Not really it's fairly simple just be careful.
I definitely will; my friend learned how much voltage a tv could store the hard way and we're super careful around high voltage now.
