ANSWERS : Technology

I want to get a nice point and shoot to use this year especially as a counselor at camp but as well as at my new England home. I was looking at these 2 specificly

Im leaning towards the Sony but are they still worth it after a year?

I really like Olympus cameras. They have a lot of good features and so far have been very reliable for me.
This is a new model that is just out and it looks very impressive at first glance.

This is a lot more camera for the same price as the ones you were looking at. It has a 22X optical zoom, better optics (Olympus lenses are very good) with a greater range and more mega pixels. I would buy it if I didn't already have a good one.
You might be able to find a better price on it, this is the first place I looked .

I found a review of it, its a great camera. It takes HD video and can even make 3D pictures. Buy.com appears to be one of the best prices.

That is a very nice camera! I would easily consider it but i need something pocket-able to carry around during camp.

Go for the camera which has higher optical zoom. Never use the digital zoom. Digital zoom crops the image. This does not use the full sensor effectively. Any mega pixel is good because no camera comes with mega pixel less than 8.
