What exactly is the difference between analog and digital ICs??
I wanted to know whether LM 3915 is an analog IC or not...

LM3915 is a Dot/Bar Display Driver an analog divice that runs at voltages over 5v analog kind of like a sine wave, Digital is binary 0 or +5v .
the analogue IC's works on various wave forms while the digital IC's works only on 0's and 1's.
