What is a good magnet project?

I have a really strong magnet. Its a cylinder about 2cm high and 1cm diameter.
What should I build with it/use it for? (Its not excessively strong, just really strong.

Build a motor.

Try dropping it through a length of copper pipe.

This is a fun trick, probably too simple to qualify as a "project", but definitely something you should try if you haven't seen it before.  The magnet induces eddy currents into the walls of the pipe, causing it to fall much more slowly than it would under the influence of gravity, and air resistance, alone.

This one's fun and new. You'd need a piece of metal for the other half since you only have one magnet.

Find a battery and some stiff copper wire and make a homopolar motor out of it.
They're great fun!
