What is a very long word that can be spelled the same backwards???

Again, it's not a single word, but it's worth knowing, it's latin :

"In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni"

It means approximately "we wander in circles in the night, and fire consumes us".

Maybe it was in guiness book of records as worldwide longest. It's in Finnish.


It means "caustic soda merchant" or "soap stone dealer". And it really is a compound word without spaces, cool Finno-Ugric grammar. (From another topic, in Estonian (also Finno-Ugric) there is a compound word "jäääär" which means "edge of ice". I just love my language... )
