What is the life cycle of a blue laser... like the ones used in the blu-ray players... it's for an engineering project.

I can't find anything on the web about it... if i could get some website links... it would be greatly appreciative.

What do you mean by "Life-cycle" ?

the cycle of the laser from the creation of them, to how long they last, to how they r disposed of. (can they be recycled?)
That's research project, not something you can get from a quick answer in here.

Start with how you make Blue lasers ? First take Indium and Gallium metals and form InGaN .......

There's no reason why they couldn't be recycled, but the "guts" are so tiny that it wouldn't be cost effective unless you had millions of them at your disposal, and could extract the grain of sand that constitutes the die.

Are you asking, how many operating hours to half intensity on a the laser in blu-ray players ?

err, yes, part of what i need to know is how long they last in a blu-ray player.
