What kind of engine is this and where do I get information about it?!!?

We pulled this old beauty out of the barn the other weekend and my dad wants to know if we can get it running (I think we can). This is the SECOND time asking this because instructables is rediculous and doesn't work half the time. The numbers are all there in plain sight and if anyone wants to know any information, just ask. Apparently it used to be hooked up to a water pump of some kind according to my uncle. The thing has like copper or brass gas lines and I've never seen anything like it myself!

Has anyone seen this and have any clue how I can get it running again? I don't want to tinker with it much until I at least have a bit of information about how it runs and how I can tweak it/tune it to make it run again. I'm also wondering if electrolosis rust removal is in order here for some of the parts or if I can just wash all the dust and crap off with water and then rub it down inside and out with oil or WD-40 or something of the likes.

Please I really would love to get this running, imagine hooking an alternator onto it haha, It'd make a handy little generator!

It's a modified outboard motor.
If you look up Iron Horse and outboard motor that will point you in the right direction.
