Whats an easy and cheap way to clean up a face full of acne in 5 days?

This weekend I woke up to a face full of acne.I have a date with this guy and I don't want to have a face full of zits. I have tried almost everything and its not working very well. I don't have the money for proactive or the time to order it anyways. So can anyone help please.

In the past, my dermatologist has put me on a regimen of salycilic acid and benzoyl peroxide, both of which you can buy over the counter.

Wash your face gently with a cleanser containing salycilic acid.  If your skin is oily, follow up with a toner or astringent with the same.  Neutrogena has great products for this.

In the evening, apply a light coating of benzoyl peroxide to the affected areas.  Be aware this will bleach your clothes/pillowcases, so wear white to bed!    Again, Neutrogena On-the-Spot is a good product for this.  (I sound like I work for Neutrogena!)

There are some products you can buy that have pills you can take too.  I hate taking pills, but this is also what my doctor puts me on.  It's up to you how you feel about this.

Don't go too rough with the scrubbing.  This can further irritate skin and spread the acne.  Make sure you're using an oil free-moisturizer if necessary.

For concealer, I recommend something like Bare Minerals.  If it's too pricey, L'Oreal makes a similar product.  It's much less noticeable than liquid concealers, and less likely to "melt" away after a few hours.

Oh yeah, and keep your hands off your face!  Don't even rest your chin in your hand.  Touching spreads the oil.  (this is the hardest part for me!)
Actually you don't want to use scrubs when you have active acne, they can actually make it worse.  Argan oil is a nice natural product that can help treat inflammation.  Even though it's an oil it actually helps regulate sebum production as well as it has healing properties.  Another option is a light therapy system.  This won't clear it up in 5 days but is an excellent option for an ongoing treatment to help prevent and heal acne.
Good luck, I know how frustrating acne can be.
Haven't heard yet that it helps in suppressing acne, but I can say very positive things about the argan oil and how it rejuvenated my skin, since I started using it during last two months.

It's a bit pricey, but I got a good deal on the 100% organic oil at MyLumee store, and was amazed how good it feels. This one doesn't contain any scent, and despite my thoughts it's not really that oily!

My skin doesn't feel like it's soaked in oil, it rather feels like there is a thin film on top of my skin, but very mildly oiled. More like a protection to the skin.

I truly hope that argan oil can help with acne, since I know how annoying and painful acne can be!!!

A face full of acne is not going to go away overnight nor in five, sorry to break it to you. Rubbing your face with too many cleansers may actually irritate it more. Try finding tea tree oil (I've found that natural products are the best) at a health store. Whole foods sells it or you can buy tea tree oil at The Body Shop.

It really is magic in a bottle and can't go wrong for $9.00!
There's a lot of information in the instructable I just wrote =D https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Unclog-Pores-and-Clear-Acne/ It details a deep facial cleanse that clears blackheads and acne, and rejuvenates the pores.

Five days??

Plenty of scrubs with a decent rough flannel and hot, soapy water, plus the astringent of your choice (tea-tree oil etc) will help reduce it, but not completely.

If you are unhappy with things come the day of the date, try using as little natural-coloured foundation or concealer as possible, but if he's worth all the effort, he won't see mere acne anyway - just you.

Come the night, whatever happens, be yourself, smile a lot, and enjoy the night.
