What's the best and easiest way to create a floor plan of my current home?

I want to remodel soon and this will help with planning.

It's usually worth it to hire a building designer.

If you just want a floor plan: Graph paper and a straight edge and a tape measure works pretty darned well and cheaply. I've done that for years, usually before moving in so I could plan where furnishings were going to go. Estimating walls as 6" thick seems to work pretty well for that purpose.
I'd go with that too. L

Orksecurity has the right answer. I did it myself when we moved into our house. The six-inch wall thickness is essential, or you'll end up with things not aligning properly.
