What's the difference between an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and an Epiphone Les Paul Plain-Top?

 What's the difference between an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and an Epiphone Les Paul Plain-Top aside from the finish?

They're both Les Paul Standards. The Plain Top has just a plain Sunburst finish. The Les Paul Standard Plus Top has a flame maple cap. The Ultra has a flame top with gold hardware. The Ultra-II has a flame maple cap, gold hardware, contoured cutaway, and a Shadow Electronics acoustic pickup

I belive a standard is arched sorta and i think plain tops arent. Youd have to fact check me because this info seems a little fuzzy to me.
